Your Privacy Matters

We built TradeVue to help traders improve through self-analysis. We don't sell your data. We don't spam you. We only use your information to make the journal work and to provide you with insights about your trading patterns.

⚠️ Important: TradeVue is NOT a Trading Platform

TradeVue is a trading journal and analytics platform. We do NOT facilitate any trading, buying, or selling of securities, stocks, options, or any financial instruments.

  • No Trading Execution: You cannot place buy/sell orders on our platform
  • Record Keeping Only: We only help you log and analyze trades executed elsewhere
  • Data Import: We use read-only broker APIs to fetch your historical trade data for journaling purposes
  • No Brokerage Services: We are not a broker, exchange, or financial intermediary
  • No Investment Advice: We do not provide stock tips, recommendations, or investment advice

Payment Gateway Use: Razorpay is used exclusively for software subscription fees, NOT for trading capital, securities purchases, or brokerage charges.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional, for account recovery)
  • Username

Trading Data (Historical Records Only)

  • Trade history (from broker APIs or manual entry) - past trades only, not live trading
  • Journal entries and notes
  • Performance statistics calculated from your historical data
  • Psychology and emotion tags you add to your trades

Note: We only collect historical trade data for record-keeping and analysis. No live trading or order placement data.

Usage Data

  • Pages you visit within TradeVue
  • Features you use
  • Device and browser information
  • IP address (for security purposes)

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Razorpay. We do NOT store your credit/debit card details, CVV, or banking passwords. We only receive confirmation of successful payments.

2. What We DON'T Collect

  • Broker passwords — We use secure OAuth APIs only
  • Banking details — Payments are handled by Razorpay
  • Demat account numbers — Not required for journaling
  • PAN card or Aadhaar — We don't need KYC documents
  • Trading credentials — We cannot place trades on your behalf

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information ONLY to:

  • Show you your trading journal and statistics
  • Generate AI insights based on YOUR trade data (not shared with others)
  • Send important updates (trial expiry, subscription renewal, security alerts)
  • Improve the platform based on usage patterns
  • Provide customer support
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do NOT:

  • Sell your data to third parties
  • Show ads based on your trades
  • Share your trading data with anyone (except as required by law)
  • Use your data for any purpose other than providing the Service
  • Profile you for targeted advertising

4. Third-Party Services

Razorpay (Payment Processing)

Payments are securely handled by Razorpay for software subscription fees only (NOT for trading capital or securities purchases). We don't store your card details. Razorpay is PCI-DSS compliant.

Supabase (Database Hosting)

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with encryption at rest and in transit.

Broker APIs (Read-Only Historical Data)

We connect to your broker using official APIs with read-only access to historical trade data only. We never store your broker password. We do NOT have permissions to place trades or execute any transactions on your behalf.

Analytics (Plausible)

We use privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible) that doesn't use cookies and doesn't track individuals. No personal data is collected.

5. Data Security

We follow industry best practices to protect your data:

  • 256-bit TLS encryption for data in transit
  • AES-256 encryption for data at rest
  • Secure authentication (including 2FA support)
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Access controls and audit logging
  • Secure API tokens for broker connections (no passwords stored)
  • Automatic session timeout for inactive users

6. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

  • Active accounts: Data retained as long as your account is active
  • Cancelled subscriptions: Data retained for 90 days after cancellation (you can request earlier deletion)
  • Account deletion: Data permanently deleted within 30 days of request
  • Legal requirements: Some data may be retained longer if required by law

7. Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

  • Access: View all your data anytime from your dashboard
  • Export: Download your trade data as CSV anytime
  • Correction: Update your profile information anytime
  • Delete: Request complete data deletion by contacting support
  • Portability: Get a copy of all your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent: Disconnect broker integrations anytime

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies only:

  • Session cookies: To keep you logged in
  • Preference cookies: To remember your settings (theme, etc.)

We do NOT use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party marketing cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

TradeVue is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data is primarily stored in India. If we transfer data internationally (e.g., for cloud hosting), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information.

11. Changes to Privacy Policy

If we update this policy, we'll notify you by email before the changes take effect. We'll never reduce your privacy rights without your explicit consent. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
